FRIENDS of the Octavia Fellin Public Library was formed as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in 2021. Its members are volunteers who advocate and fundraise for the library.
OUR MISSION is to sustain excellent library facilities and services, creating educational and cultural opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life for the people of Gallup-McKinley County.

850(!) programs per year, including craft, story time, tech, cooking, weaving, STEM activities & more
MakerSpace with 3-D printers, laser engravers, Cricut, sewing machines, button maker & more
WPA art collection
FamilyPass - available for free entry into NM museums
24/7 free WiFi (internet) - was accessed 65,000 times by library users last year
Children's Summer Reading Program
Book Club
Funds are acquired through membership fees, donations, book sales, and are used in impactful ways, such as hosting community and member events and supporting the library's Summer Reading Program.
